Our third graders had an amazing time with their latest project inspired by the book *Balloons Over Broadway*! We were thrilled to welcome Mrs. Pierce, a STEM teacher from Maumee Middle School, as our special guest reader. After sharing the story, she guided the students in creating blueprints for their own balloon designs. The students brought their creative visions to life using just tin foil and Sharpies. Once laminated, they watched with excitement as we inflated their balloons using straws! The final touch was attaching a wooden dowel, allowing them to proudly "parade" their balloons out to the buses for all to see. What an unforgettable learning experience! #MorenciBulldogs
Our third graders learned about the evolution of castle architecture, starting with simple designs and progressing to more complex structures. To bring their learning to life, they explored printmaking by using sponges to recreate the stonework of their castles. This hands-on activity tied creativity with history, making their lessons both fun and memorable. Stay tuned for more from our budding architects!
🎶 Recorder Rockstars in Action! 🎶
Our 4th graders are hard at work with Mr. Lindsay in music class, learning how to play the recorder! Each student practices their skills and can earn different colored "belts" as they master new songs. It’s inspiring to watch them grow and hit new musical milestones! 🎵

Our 4th and 5th grade students participated in the Ok2Say program this week. OK2SAY is the student safety program, through the State of Michigan, which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. Proud of our students for taking an active role in creating a safe and positive school environment!
This morning, we honored our veterans with a Veterans Day breakfast. Thank you to all who served and continue to serve our country with dedication and courage. We are grateful for your sacrifices and the example you set for our students. Happy Veterans Day!
Our elementary students got hands-on experience with democracy by participating in a mock presidential election! 🎉 With our 5th grade students running the polling place and guiding younger students through the process, it was a fun and educational experience for everyone involved. 🗳️ #morencibulldogs
🌟 Exciting news! 🌟 Our elementary students have started participating in the TLC banking program! The elementary school bank branch is now officially open, and students can make deposits every Thursday. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to develop financial skills and learn the importance of saving. 🌴✨ Our Developmental Kindergarten students in action! Here are some priceless moments captured as they balanced letters on their coconut trees! There were "ooh’s" and "ahh’s," moments of holding their breath, serious concentration, and even some tongue-sticking-out determination. Pure amazement filled the room, and I absolutely love it! 🤗📚

Last Friday, our students came together for a house assembly to kick off the second marking period with excitement and team spirit! An amazing team of 5th graders led each house in learning a unique handshake. Be sure to ask your child to show you their special handshake! 🤲💥

Our third graders had a blast wrapping up the third week of school! Visitors from the Lenawee ISD helped kick off our Outdoor Science and Literacy initiative with a fun "Next Time You See a Spiderweb" lesson. Students hunted for spiderwebs, heard a story from Mrs. Stiver, and made their own webs. They also tried peanut butter and jelly burritos from our "Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match" book study. Not everyone was a fan, but it was fun to try something new!
