🎶 Recorder Rockstars in Action! 🎶 Our 4th graders are hard at work with Mr. Lindsay in music class, learning how to play the recorder! Each student practices their skills and can earn different colored "belts" as they master new songs. It’s inspiring to watch them grow and hit new musical milestones! 🎵

In honor of World Kindness Day, we asked some of our students a few questions about kindness. Their answers were inspiring and reminded us how big-hearted and thoughtful our students are! 💛 Here are a few heartwarming responses.

Our 4th and 5th grade students participated in the Ok2Say program this week. OK2SAY is the student safety program, through the State of Michigan, which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. Proud of our students for taking an active role in creating a safe and positive school environment!

This morning, we honored our veterans with a Veterans Day breakfast. Thank you to all who served and continue to serve our country with dedication and courage. We are grateful for your sacrifices and the example you set for our students. Happy Veterans Day!

Our elementary students got hands-on experience with democracy by participating in a mock presidential election! 🎉 With our 5th grade students running the polling place and guiding younger students through the process, it was a fun and educational experience for everyone involved. 🗳️ #morencibulldogs

🌟 Exciting news! 🌟 Our elementary students have started participating in the TLC banking program! The elementary school bank branch is now officially open, and students can make deposits every Thursday. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to develop financial skills and learn the importance of saving. 🌴✨ Our Developmental Kindergarten students in action! Here are some priceless moments captured as they balanced letters on their coconut trees! There were "ooh’s" and "ahh’s," moments of holding their breath, serious concentration, and even some tongue-sticking-out determination. Pure amazement filled the room, and I absolutely love it! 🤗📚 #Morencibulldogs

"Room on the Broom" set the stage for our first engineering challenge! 🚀✨ Our first graders explored innovative ways for the witch and her friends to travel by air, water, and land. 🧹🛶🚗 They created blueprints and brought their ideas to life, designing everything from scooters and hoverboards to submarines and trucks. 🛴🚤🚚 #morencibulldgos #FirstGradeFun #STEMChallenge #LittleEngineers"

📊🍬 Miss Stutzman's kindergarten students jumped into graphing by sorting and counting colorful M&Ms! Not only did they practice their math skills, but they also got a sweet treat at the end! Way to go, future mathematicians! 🌈📈 #morencibulldogs

Last Friday, our students came together for a house assembly to kick off the second marking period with excitement and team spirit! An amazing team of 5th graders led each house in learning a unique handshake. Be sure to ask your child to show you their special handshake! 🤲💥 Each student received a bracelet in their house color, symbolizing unity, respect AND resilience, —qualities they continue to show daily. We're so proud of our Bulldogs as they work together to make a positive impact in our school! 💙🐾 #morencibulldogs

🎉 Homecoming Week 🎉 The big day is almost here! 📅 Tomorrow’s Dress-Up Day (Both MS/HS & Elementary): Maroon & White Day 🐾 Friday is all about Bulldog pride! Show off your school colors and get ready for the Homecoming Parade at 5:00 p.m. and the big game at 7:00 p.m.!

Our third graders had a blast wrapping up the third week of school! Visitors from the Lenawee ISD helped kick off our Outdoor Science and Literacy initiative with a fun "Next Time You See a Spiderweb" lesson. Students hunted for spiderwebs, heard a story from Mrs. Stiver, and made their own webs. They also tried peanut butter and jelly burritos from our "Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match" book study. Not everyone was a fan, but it was fun to try something new!

Our first graders had a blast playing Rock, Paper, Scissors during math! ✋✂️🪨 We tallied up the results to see which wins the most – rock, paper, scissors, or a tie! So much fun while learning! #morencibulldogs 🐾📊

Don’t let your child stay home unless they are truly sick. Consider that sometimes a stomach ache or headache is a sign of anxiety. Talk to teachers, school counselors, and other parents for advice on how to make your child feel comfortable and excited about learning.

We had a beautiful day for a walking field trip to Stair District Library! 📚 This special trip helps prepare our students for their upcoming Lansing adventure, teaching them important lessons like walking safely and respectfully around the Capitol grounds, learning the role of a docent, how to respond appropriately, and how to respect museum exhibits and artifacts. We even had a chance to dive into some Constitution Day lessons! Be sure to check out the goodies your child brought home from the library to support today's activities.
