Morenci Area Schools is proud to announce its selection as a recipient of the highly competitive School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP) grant in the amount of $469,500. This significant achievement places the district among just 10 school districts in Michigan to receive this grant. The grant aims to enhance security and safety measures at schools and on school grounds through the implementation of evidence-based practices.
The funding will enable Morenci Area Schools to address key safety priorities identified through a comprehensive safety assessment and in collaboration with the District Safety Council. These priorities focus on proactive measures to ensure a secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
