The Align Center for Workforce Development Principal of the Year Award is given to a Lenawee County Principal who goes above and beyond in preparing students for their future by providing college and career readiness experiences.
Mr. Miller was an obvious choice. From our first request to meet at the beginning of the 23/24 school year, he has taken part in every meeting, voicing his opinion and sharing ideas on how we can help support the career exploration and readiness of the Morenci Middle and High School students. He even educated us on The Amazing Shake, a soft skill-building program that we hope to bring to all Lenawee County Middle Schools. As Career Education Navigators, we offered every school district the opportunity to have us work with the junior and senior classes on handshaking, networking, and interview skills in preparation for the annual Align Career Connections Job Fair. Mr. Miller was the only one to take us up on this. Time and time again he has shown that he not only cares for his students exactly where they are but also for their futures.
