Morenci Area Schools is proud to announce the completion of its comprehensive strategic
plan, a roadmap designed to guide the district's priorities and decision-making over the coming years. This plan reflects the district's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character development, and preparing students for a bright future.
The strategic plan was developed through a collaborative process involving input from educators, parents, students, and community members to ensure it reflects the values and aspirations of the Morenci community. It builds on the district’s mission to graduate students with excellent academic foundations, strong character, and an awareness of career opportunities so they can positively influence society.
Superintendent Jennifer Ellis emphasized the importance of the strategic plan as a cornerstone for the district's future. “This plan represents more than a document—it is a commitment to our students, staff, and community. It will serve as a guiding compass, ensuring that every decision we make is aligned with our shared goals of academic achievement, equity, and fostering a love of lifelong learning.”
The strategic plan focuses on several key priorities, including:

Character Development: Instilling the district-wide traits of responsibility, resilience, respect, and excellence in all students.
Community Engagement: Strengthening partnerships with families and community members to create a supportive environment for student success.
