Destini Kruse, Class of 2018

What did you pursue after attending Morenci Area Schools? After graduating, Destini attended Central Michigan University, where she earned a bachelorā€™s degree in Athletic Training. Now, she works as an athletic trainer at Loyola University New Orleans while pursuing a masterā€™s degree in Sports Administration full-time.

Who was your favorite educator? "Mrs. Schaffer was my favorite because she made history fun and interesting, and as my softball coach, she taught me strong values and accountability. I also loved Mrs. Joughin because she focused on mental health and creating a positive, student-centered environment. Even though I struggled with math, she was incredibly inspiring."

What advice would you share with current #MorenciBulldog students? "Donā€™t be afraid to follow your dreams, and if you are afraid, just do it scared. The anxiety of trying something new is better than the regret of not trying at all. Morenci may be a small town, but it has a big heart. Share that big heart with the worldā€”life has so much to offer, so take advantage of it."
