Morenci High School Named to Jostens 2024 National Yearbook Program of Excellence
and Recognized in Annual Best-of-the-Best Publication
Morenci, MI – Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, today announced that Morenci High School’s yearbook program has achieved the Jostens National Yearbook Program of Excellence 2024 award at the Gold Level. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students to develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy.
The Morenci High School award-winning program is led by 15-year-veteran adviser Heather Walker and senior editor Lauren Harsh. “I was thrilled to receive the extra recognition for my staff,” Walker said. “Lauren Harsh has been my editor for three years, so I’m especially pleased that she was able to see her hard work pay off before graduation.”
Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Awards are presented twice a year, in spring and in fall based on the yearbook’s arrival date at the school. The award was presented to the Morenci High School yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.

Morenci High School’s, Seasons Change yearbook was also recognized for excellence in spread design and featured in the Jostens Look Book 2024, celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and inclusivity.
The Jostens Look Book is a collection of outstanding yearbooks and their creative themes, cool covers, beautiful designs, relevant coverage of school events, meaningful storytelling, and stunning photography.
The Seasons Change yearbook was created by Morenci’s 2022 staff also under the direction of Heather Walker. With other outstanding yearbooks, it was chosen among nearly one thousand submitted yearbooks.
