Three Morenci city council positions and that of the mayor expire in November. Candidates have until April 22 to file a petition at City Hall.
The terms of Mayor Tracy Schell and Councilors Kori Christle, David Lonis, and Kandice Speiser expire this year. Candidates must have had residency in the city for at least one year prior to the November election. Nominating petitions must have the signatures of at least 25 registered voters in the city. Petitions are available at City Hall.
