It is with utmost respect and appreciation that the City of Morenci expresses its gratitude to all who participated in the 2024 Hometown Heroes Banner Program. It has been an honor to recognize and celebrate our Military Service Members and Veterans and support the efforts of the Morenci American Legion.
The 2025 Hometown Heroes Banner Program is set to launch at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5. Applications will be available at City Hall and on our website at that time. Thirty banner locations on Main St. and North St. will be available for the first 30 registrants, with an additional 10 banner locations on Orchard St. and Baker St. for the subsequent 10 registrants.
Participants from past programs have the option to renew their banners for a fee of $30, provided they remain in good condition. Early applications or reservations will not be accepted, and participation in the 2024 program does not guarantee a spot in 2025. For those who wish to purchase a new banner in the 2025 program or for first-time participants, the customized 18”x36” banners may be purchased for $150 each, and a portion of the proceeds will support the Morenci American Legion.
