The Morenci Varsity Volleyball team participated in Varsity Greeters this morning. The ladies headed to the elementary school and helped our youngest bulldogs off of the bus and greeted them as they were dropped off up front. A lot of smiles, high fives, and hugs were shared.

Another group of Morenci coaches and staff are now first aid and CPR certified thanks to board member Rebecca Berger. The MHSAA requires coaches to have current certification and we are grateful that Rebecca can come into the school and equip our coaches and staff members with these life-saving skills. 🐾

🎉🏆 A huge congratulations to Renae Schaffner for being named Assistant Coach of the Year by the Michigan HS Softball Coaches Association! 🏆🎉
Renae has been an integral part of our coaching staff for 33 years. Her remarkable journey includes leading Morenci to consecutive softball state championships in 1985 and 1986 as an All-State pitcher. Renae's athletic prowess continued at Hillsdale College, where she played both basketball and softball, earning All-American status and later being inducted into the Hillsdale College Athletic Hall of Fame.
From her humble beginnings as a volunteer coach over three decades ago to becoming an invaluable leader on our staff, Renae's dedication and passion for coaching are truly unmatched. Her attention to detail and ability to motivate our athletes have played a pivotal role in our program's success.
